This yearbook
is organised in five sections: I. events, II. studies, III.
documents, IV. bibliography, and V. statistics. In the first
section, A. Benmessaoud Tredano reviews the events between
the economic summits in Casablanca and Amman, Z. Daoud analyses
the impact of Schengen on the countries on the southern shore
of the Mediterranean, L. Jaidi reports on Turkey's problems
to become a candidate for EU membership, N. Lahrichi reviews
the proposal for a financial institution for the Mediterranean,
A. Maalmi covers NATO's Mediterranean dialogue while F. Zaim
interprets the outcome of the Barcelona conference.
In the
first part of the studies section, the role of Morocco in
the Euro-Mediterranean conference is analysed by H. El Malki,
T. Fassi Fihri, M. Bennouna, H. Sqalli, L. Jaidi and F. Zaim,
M. Tangi and H. Abouyoub. In the second part, G. Martin-Munoz
analyses the role of the civil society in the Maghreb and
the Euro-Mediterranean challenge. Dhrouz evaluates the association
agreement between Morocco and the EU while M. Mohattane deals
with great projects and the Euro-Mediterranean partnership.
The third
document section reproduces 12 documents on Euro-Mediterranean
issues while the fourth section includes book reviews, a bibliography
of books and articles published on Mediterranean issues and
the fifth section provides a statistical appendix.
